I will dominate 'serious fighter' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight round fight which will be shown live on Netflix.

Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "break" the American as the two fighters met personally to build hype for next month's bout.

Former two-time world boxing king Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami arena on December 19th.

Fighter's Mindset

"I'm going to break his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm superior," Joshua, 35, declared.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I intend to seriously aim to injure him. That's what I want to do."

Civil Interaction

In spite of such comments, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually known for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul instead criticized former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after the Cameroonian declined a bout proposal.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, at the same time, targeted British opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of saying he intends to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.

Paul's History

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since turning professional.

He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Success

Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of the sport's greatest financial successes, regularly earning huge financial rewards.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old forecast a stoppage in rounds four or five and asserted he would stop the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly under discussion for two years from now.

"It's going to be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul said.

Physical Disparity

As Joshua and Paul participated in the usual confrontation, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it highlighted just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the match is actually proceeding.
